Influence[r]Activism is a special 1:1 fireside chat segment at The Future of DEI Summit where we will learn from entrepreneurs, educators and thought leaders sharing insight on their personal impact leadership journey. This segment combines personal storytelling, motivational speaking and strategy to drive home the importance of building resilient, time-tested social impact-focused platforms through entrepreneurship, community education and thought leadership in these critical times in society.

Arlan Hamilton is the Founder of Backstage Capital, a venture capital firm dedicated to investing in high-potential founders who are people of color, women, and/or LGBTQIA+. She is the author of It's About Damn Time (2020), Your First Million (2024), and Arlan's Revenue Playbook (2025) and organizer of Your First Million Live conference, celebrated in Los Angeles, California last May 2024, which will be back in 2026 in partnership with SXSW. She has recently pivoted to focus on growing her YouTube channel to 142K followers in less than one year and providing mentorship through Arlan's All-Access, Arlan's [Mastermind] and Arlan's Inner Circle.
